Meet Our Officers

Our officer team is made up of six highly motivated members of the Texas A&M Men's Water Polo team who were elected to fill their current role. Each one has their own tasks and responsibilities that help the team succeed in and out of the pool. Without them, none of this would be possible.

Benny Leger

President

Benny began his water polo career as a freshmen at Cypress Ridge High School in Houston TX. Now, seven years later, he is competing in his fourth season with the Texas A&M Men's Water Polo team. Benny is a Senior studying Mechanical Engineering and is set to graduate in the Spring of 2025

 

Benny is serving his second term as President of the Texas A&M Men’s Water Polo team where he manages the officer board and is responsible for all external communications for the team.

Xander Zerr

Vice President

Xander tried out for water polo on a whim during his freshman year at Clear Brook High School. Shortly after, he was moved to join the Southside club team in Pearland, Texas. Upon arriving Texas A&M University, this men's team was the first club he made sure to join. He is currently majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

As Vice President, Xander is responsible for organizing trips and events and supporting the president and other officers in their respective roles.

Connor McSorely

Treasurer

Connor has been playing water polo for three years now, starting at his high school Jesuit Dallas his senior year. He is an accounting major at Mays pursuing his masters in Financial Management through the PPA program.


As the Treasurer chair, he is responsible for managing the money for the water polo team, as well as refunds, check request, and most financial aspects.

Saam Moozoun

Social Chair

Saam has been playing water polo throughout high school. He was All-District his senior year of high school at College Park and played on Storm water polo for 2 years. He is now a Finance major at Mays Business School.


Saam is the Relations officer. He is responsible for the social media of the team, all events, socials and tail gates the team is involved as well as writing the weekly email.

Alessandro Ipson

Fundraising Chair

Alessandro has been playing water polo for almost a decade, playing for Del Mar WPC and Shores Water Polo in San Diego. He played three years of varsity water polo at Canyon Crest Academy where he won a Division 1 CIF Championship his senior year and was selected to an All-Division 1 team. After high school he became a head coach at La Jolla United, coaching boys and girls at the 10U, 12U, and 14U age levels. He is now a Marketing & Sales major at Mays Business School.

As Fundraising Chair, Alessandro is responsible for setting up team fundraisers, profit shares, sponsorships, donations, and merch sales.

Leyton Kraft

Captian

Leyton Kraft is a passionate water polo player with 11 years of experience in the pool. As well as a junior majoring in Chemical Engineering, Leyton brings the same determination and focus to his studies as he does to the sport. Growing up in Pearland, Texas, and attending Dawson High School, Leyton was part of a team that fought hard to earn second place at the state championships two years in a row. Whether in the lab or in the water, Leyton is all about pushing limits and achieving goals.


This year, Leyton will proudly lead the team as captain, ready to inspire and guide my teammates to success.
